In Russia, Throwing Cigarette Butts from Car and Train Windows Is Banned Now, and Land Owners and Gardeners Will Regularly Clean Trash And Mow the Grass

The Government of the Russian Federation has approved changes in the Rules of firefighting regime, obliging owners of land plots regularly clean up trash and mow the grass. It is forbidden to burn grass and to raise fires near the road and railways. It is also forbidden to smoke outside specially equipped places for persons who are near the straw and on bread lands during the harvesting of cereals. Such measures will increase the level of protection of agricultural lands, roadside strips of roads, drainage lanes and security zones of railways from fires, the decree says.
