First Ice Passage Started Functioning in Tatarstan

Today in Yelabuga District in the settlement of Pokrovskoe, an ice passage over the river Kama on the route 'the settlement of Pokrovsky — the village of Krasny Kluch, Nizhnekamsk District has been opened. Inspectors carried out ice measurements, checked all available normative and technical documentation and the availability of rescue means and gave permission to open it. The distance of the route is 680 meters, its width is 40 meters. The ice thickness at the moment is 25 cm. Traffic of vehicles weighing up to 2.5 tons is allowed. The journey shortens the route to the city of Nizhnekamsk for 90 km.
