The main amount of fires occurs in residential sector on New Year holidays. In order to prevent against fires in residential fund and people’s death in them, there was organized preventive work for implementation of which 155 preventive groups were established. From December 31, 2016 to January 2, 2017, preventive groups held preventive work in the field of fire safety in 289 apartment buildings, in 2448 houses. Also, there were held 97 gatherings with the population cover of 1,347 people, 5,723 citizens were instructed on fire safety rules.

From 6 P.M. on January 3 until 6 P.M. on January 4, 2017, the minimal air temperature at night and maximal air temperature in the afternoon will estimate 13-15 degrees, with decreasing in the evening down to 18-20 degrees below zero on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Incidents as of January 2:

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 33 times. Including garbage extinguishing – 1, false alarms – 10, short circuit of wiring without burning – 1, meal burning – 3, cooperation with other services – 3, others – 1. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 9 fires, including residential sector – 4, outhouses – 3, vehicles – 2. 1 person was injured.
