Within an open day in the Educational Center of Civil Defense and Emergency Situations of the Republic of Tatarstan, which was organized for the population by employees of the Center in cooperation with the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan at the World Civil Defense Day, workers of several enterprises and organizations of Kazan practiced resuscitative measures on training dummy, measured heads for identifying gas mask size and tried to put on gas masks correctly, learned the past and modern history of civil defense.

If worst scenario of passing freshet on the territory of the republic, 42 municipal districts can get into zones of possible flooding, where 220 settlements located with the population of 18 846 people, 48 social objects, 55 sections of highways, 36 road bridges, including 2 low water bridges. During the freshet period 149 temporary accommodation centers were planned with the capacity of 32 463 people.

Vladimir Puchkov noted that EMERCOM of Russia holds the work on the formation of new ways to the organization and conduction of civil defense, continues to build up efforts on strengthening international cooperation in the field of emergency situations prevention and liquidation, implementation of projects of assistance to international development, improving civil defense systems on regional, international and global levels, and he congratulated all veterans and the whole collective of EMERCOM of Russia with the World Civil Defense Day.

The report about fire in a house in Kazan was received at 8.28 P.M. There was burning an apartment on the seventh floor, and the apartment stairs were strongly smoky. Unfortunately, firefighting crews had to face the problem of randomly parked cars one more time.
