Despite general decreasing of fires from the beginning of the year, inspectors of state fire supervision note the increasing number of fires and deaths of people in them over the last two months. In order to stabilize the situation with fires and death in them, inspectors conduct a complex work. There was organized the work of 155 preventive groups and close cooperation with the media on explaining fire safety requirements to the population.

Practically yearly, the small river Sulitsa floods in spring in Verkhny Uslon District because of massive snow melt. The river flows through the settlements of Kuralovo and Russkoe Burnashevo. In the village of Kuralovo, 46 houses with the population of 106 people fall into flooding; all of them are located on the lowland of the river. In order to forecast somehow the Sulitsa’s behavior this spring, the Chief of of Verkhny Uslon fire and rescue garrison together with the Chairman of the Commission on Emergency Situations and Fire Safety of the district organized a monitoring of the flooding situation by using an unmanned aircraft.

Incidents as of March 9:

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 41 times. Including garbage extinguishing – 4, abandoned building extinguishing – 1, false alarms – 17, short circuit of wiring without burning – 2, meal burning – 4, cooperation with other services – 6, others – 1. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 4 fires, including residential sector – 1. 2 people died.
