As a result of the passing complex of negative meteorological phenomena, connected with short wind gusts up to 18 m/s, roofs of 8 houses, the mosque and the school in the village of Verkhnyaya Chegodayka, and of 8 houses in the village of Nizhnyaya Chegodayka of Cheremshansky Municipal District of the Republic of Tatarstan were damaged. There are no dead and injured. A task force of Cheremshan fire and rescue garrison directed to the scene. Recovery works are in process.

Today, at a briefing organized for the media in ‘Tatar-Inform’ informational agency there was discussed informing and alarming of population about negative weather conditions, including storm warning. It was attended by representatives of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan and the republican Hydrometeorological Center.

This time, second-graders of the school No. 15 came to visit Zelenodolsk firefighters. The excursion to the fire service museum began from the fire station territory. Children were told about workdays of firefighters, were led across rooms of the station. They saw a real gathering and departure of duty guards on the alarm during demonstration of the fire and rescue department No. 52. Children were shown and told how drills of firefighters pass in the heat and smoke chamber and on the training tower.

Incidents as of May 31:

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 56 times. Including garbage extinguishing – 8, false alarms – 25, short circuit of wiring without burning – 1, meal burning – 3, cooperation with other services – 16. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 2 fires, including outhouses – 1, garden houses – 1.
