The House of Government of the Republic of Tatarstan spoke about safety on waters during the ice and off season
"There are a lot of dangerous places and washouts on reservoirs where there are bridge crossings located. Even in severe frost, the ice in these places is fragile" - the Chief state inspector of the Republic of Tatarstan of small vessels Yuri Venediktov told journalists of Republican and city media today during a briefing at the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan.
In the current autumn period, 16 incidents were registered, as a result of which 13 people were killed, including 1 child, 4 people were rescued (of the 13 dead, 4 died as a result of falling from a boat while fishing).
Every year, the main causes of death are: access to fragile thin ice, unauthorized departure of citizens by cars on the ice for recreation and fishing; the use of unequipped ice crossings.
Every year in the winter period from 88 to 96 places of mass exit of people on the ice are registered, the maximum total number of fishermen is tens of thousands of people.
In the winter period of 2019-2020 in the Republic of Tatarstan it is planned to inspect and allow for operation of 4 ice crossings on the following routes:
- Verkhny Uslon municipal district: n. p. St. Arakchino-n. p. Verkhny Uslon;
- Zelenodolsk municipal district, Zelenodolsk - Nizhnie Viazovye settlement;
- Mamadysh municipal district: S. Trowels - n Novotamansk;
- Elabuga municipal district: Pokrovskoye village-Krasniy Klyuch settlement.
