20 minutes for all: rescue the victims and extinguish a simulated fire
The standard of 20 minutes was given to firefighters to completely eliminate the fire at the sports complex. And in order to achieve such a time in real emergency conditions, firefighters honed their skills during a fire-tactical exercise that took place in Kazan at the "St. Petersburg" Volleyball Cente" building.
According to the plan of the exercise, the fire broke out on the first floor in the sauna room. Smoke went up through the ventilation shaft. At the time of the fire, there were 22 people in the building. 2 people were cut off from evacuation routes under the influence of fire hazards.
Smoke detectors went off because of the smoke, 20 people were evacuated from the building in time. Quickly and without panic.
The fire departments that arrived at the scene immediately, clearly and harmoniously, having assessed the situation, began to extinguish the conditional fire.
After that, the head of fire extinguishing transmits to the operational headquarters information that all the victims have been rescued and the gorenje has been eliminated. In total, 55 personnel and 10 pieces of equipment of the Kazan Fire and Rescue garrison were involved in the fire and tactical exercises.
