GIMS Inspectors Checked the Ice Thickness at Places of Traditional Epiphany Immersions

Employees of Kazan department of the Center of GIMS of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan finished checking the ice thickness at places of traditional Epiphany immersions, today. Holes were drilled in the presence of the media representatives on one of those places, which is located on the river Kazanka by the Church of the Miraculous Image of Christ the Redeemer. The ice thickness on the given spot was 43 cm. EMERCOM representatives recommend people with weakened health, those who has recently undergone surgery, who tend to sudden arterial pressure changes, pregnant women and those who drunk for courage, to refrain from immersion.
