Body of Boy Who Was Saving His Friend in Naberezhnye Chelny Was Beached

08.14.2014 at 12:20 (MSK) EDDS in the city of Naberezhnye Chelny of Tukaevsky municipal district received the information from the group chief of zonal search and rescue team №6 about that behind "Sandali" public beach on Kama River, in 100 meters away from the scene in the algae, on the water surface was found the body of the boy drowned on 11.08.2014 at an unauthorized beach.

14-year-old Farid Sungatullin without removing clothes swam to the aid of his friend when he saw that he was drifting by the stream. He had time to help his friend get closer to the shore, but faced a wave himself. Within three days, despite the bad weather conditions (high tide on the river), ZPSO №6 rescuers and GIMS inspectors led the search. Divers worked. The scene was examined by trawling, too. Visual search by a boat along the coast for 7 miles from the old cargo port (near the beach "Sandali") to the Nizhnekamsk HPP lighthouse was also carried out.

The Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia on RT warns:

1. Stay away from swimming in the unknown and not intended for this purpose reservoirs.

2. Avoid swimming alone.

3. Do not swim while intoxicated.

4. Do not dive into places with unknown bottom topography.

5. Do not swim behind restrictive signs of the places assigned for bathing, do not climb on technical and warning signs, buoys and other items.

6. Do not swim up to motor, sailing boats, rowing boats, barges and other vehicles — it is dangerous.

7. Do not push comrades from the shore, towers, spring boards into the water.

8. Do not bring yourself to hypothermia and exhaustion.

9. Do not leave children without adult supervision at the water.
