Yesterday’s Characteristic Incidents

Incidents as of June 11:

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 77 times. Including burning garbage extinguishing – 7, false alarms – 35, abandoned construction burning – 1, short circuit of wiring without burning – 0, burnt meal – 3, cooperation with other services – 15. Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 9 fires, residential sector – 3, outhouses – 5, various types of property – 1.

Causes: violation of electrical equipment installation rules – 1, violation of fire safety rules during furnace use – 4, violation of electrical equipment technical use rules – 1, careless use of fire – 1, wrong installation and defect in heating furnace and chimney – 1, arson – 1.

Departures of fire departments for rescuing at the elimination of the consequences of traffic accidents – 7 times.

Departures of voluntary fire protection units on firefighting – 2.

Departures of search and rescue units of EMERCOM of RT – 12 times. Doors unlocking – 1, traffic accident – 3, searching for the lost on the water – 4, others – 4. Preventive departments at the places of holidaymaking people at the water – 4. Safety provision at events on the water – 2.

Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan Warn:

· do not abuse alcohol, never smoke in bed;

· do not leave children unattended, teach them basic rules of fire safety;

· never use faulty electrical wiring, do not overload the grid, use caution when using electric heaters;

· do not leave powered on electrical and gas devices unattended.

Remember! A fire does not occur by itself.  Its cause is the human negligence and carelessness use of fire. A drunk person loses control of oneself and one’s actions, and all the more cannot bear any responsibility for another person's life.
